Description

Lecture IV in Music Education for the 21st Century: Intersections of Music and Culture

Led by Josephine Lee and Judy Hanson

Josephine Lee is the Artistic Director of the Chicago Children’s Choir, and Judy Hanson is the choir’s Director of Choral Programs.  Together they will examine the ways that choral music educators (and any other music educators, for that matter) can respond to cultural changes.  They will lead participants in considering what it takes to create meaningful music experiences for singers and audiences in a new decade and into the foreseeable future.  They will also explore creative and innovative repertoire, movement, and staging to enhance the choral music program and allow for a heightened aesthetic and educational experience for all.

This event is free for all audiences!
