Since their debut in 1999, the Canadian Guitar Quartet – Philip Candelaria, Denis Donegani, Patrick Roux, and Louis Trépanier – has toured extensively in North and South America, building a world-class reputation. Currently in residence at the University of Ottawa, the group has made a name for itself with Latin-inspired rhythms and complex yet clear musical textures. Classical Guitar Magazine praises the quartet’s “fantastic, spirited playing and sheer inventiveness.” The program includes music influenced by tango styles old and new as well as works by Beethoven and quartet member Trépanier. Performance highlights include two electrifying world premieres featuring the exciting and innovative new dance company DanceWorks Chicago, choreographed by Miguel Perez.

Tickets are $24 for the general public, $21 for seniors and Northwestern faculty and staff, and $11 for students.

Pick-Staiger is located in the Arts Circle on the Evanston campus of Northwestern University.

Free parking is available in the parking structure just south of Pick-Staiger. Wheelchair accessible parking is in the same lot. Note that a university parking permit is required in this lot until 4 p.m. on weekdays.

The main lobby entrance for concerts is on the west side of the building (revolving and regular doors).

Wheelchair accessible seats (16) are located on the ends of rows G and H.

Restrooms are located in the north (Women) and south (Men) ends of the lobby.
