An Evening with Mandy Patinkin & Nathan Gunn
When: Sat, Dec 1, 2012 - 7:30 pm
Where: Pick-Staiger Concert Hall
Two worlds. One stage. Broadway legend Mandy Patinkin and opera superstar Nathan Gunn combine their musical talents to create a unique and powerful evening.
Mandy Patinkin, one of the most versatile and compelling actors, singers, and storytellers of our time, originated Broadway roles in Evita and Sunday in the Park with George, and starred in the critically acclaimed CBS series Chicago Hope and Criminal Minds. His many movie performances include roles in Yentl, Dick Tracy, and The Princess Bride.
Nathan Gunn has built a reputation as one of the most exciting and in-demand baritones of the day. He has appeared in internationally renowned venues such as the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, and Paris Opera and as a concert artist with symphony orchestras around the globe. His solo recordings include Just Before Sunrise and American Anthem.
Proceeds from this event directly support Over The Rainbow Association's mission to provide independent living opportunities for low-income adults with physical disabilities, most of whom rely on wheelchairs for mobility. OTR believes that given the opportunity, many people with physical disabilities are able and desire to live independent, self-reliant lives and can assess and self-direct the services they need. This is where OTR steps in to help. Over the last few years, OTR has built and opened five new apartment communities in northern Illinois, bringing the total under management to seven.
Please support OTR and its mission by attending An Evening with Mandy Patinkin & Nathan Gunn. You don't want to miss this incredible concert!
