The legendary 10-piece Haitian ensemble Boukman Eksperyans showcases its high-energy sound, fusing traditional Haitian and Caribbean rhythms with roots and reggae. Boukman Eksperyans ushered in a musical revolution with its Grammy-nominated debut album, Voudou Adjae, and regularly tours the world with an exhilarating amalgamation of popular and traditional musical styles. The group has appeared with Wyclef Jean, Femi Kuti, Baba Maal, and many other stars of world music. This concert is presented in conjunction with the “One Book, One Northwestern” program, this year featuring Tracy Kidder’s Mountains Beyond Mountains.
Tickets are $16 for the general public, $14 for Northwestern faculty and staff, and $8 for students.
