Description

Beloved the world over for her exquisite pianism, Janina Fialkowska has enchanted audiences for more than three decades with her glorious sound, sterling musicianship, and profound sense of musical integrity. Blending vast experience with a refreshingly natural approach, “Fialkowska has become an artist of rare distinction as well as retaining all the virtuosity of her youth,” affirmed Montreal’s La Presse. Celebrated for her interpretations of the classical and romantic repertoire, she is particularly distinguished as one of the great interpreters of Chopin and Mozart. She has also won acclaim as a champion of 20th-century Polish piano music, both in concert and on disc. In this Chopin bicentennial year Fialkowska’s extensive North American and European tours will be devoted almost exclusively to works by Chopin.

Tickets are $9 for the general public, $7 for seniors and Northwestern faculty/staff, and $5 for students.
