Prerevolutionary French plawright Pierre Beaumarchais' three most popular plays - The Barber of Seville, The Marriage of Figaro and The Guilty Mother - all became dramatic comedies for opera scored by three master composers: Rossini, Mozart, and Corigliano. In 2009-10, Northwestern University Opera Theater presents, for the first time anywhere in one season, The Beaumarchais Trilogy.
