Our Departments
The mission of the Concert Office at Pick-Staiger is to serve the Northwestern University School of Music and further its educational goals through the provision of professional-quality, low-cost support services.
The Concert Office provides services in three board areas:
- event support and presentation
- curricular support (including student recital scheduling and oversight and practice facility staffing)
- facility management for Pick-Staiger, Lutkin Hall and Regenstein Recital Hall
Organizational Overview
Pick-Staiger has a director and 6 full-time Department heads plus 150 part-time employees organized into five units:
- Operations: event management and staff, event set-up, Lutkin Hall management, artist relations, technical oversight, facility maintenance and management
- Technical: audio recording, CD/tape duplication, sound reinforcement, lighting and projection
- Business: payroll, employee records, concert/recital programs, contract management, financial operations, lobby concessions, computer administration
- Marketing: creation of publications, direct mail, advertising, public relations, fund-raising, audience development campaigns, and photography
- Ticketing: single ticket sales, subscriptions and group sales, providing information and service to all customers
